UPDATED: "Guns, God, Guts, and American Trucks!"

Andrew and I enjoyed a good laugh together as we watched the morning news this morning. A CNN anchor was interviewing Mark Muller, president of Max Motors in Butler, Missouri. Max Motors in currently running an exciting sales promotion which is getting national attention - a free AK-47 with the purchase of any truck! A few high moments from the interview:

Anchor: "Why this promotion?"

Mr. Muller: "Folks at the right to defend themselves and their property. We have great law enforcement folks out here, but it takes at least 15 minutes for any law enforcement to reach you. The only 911 call I'm going to need is the sound of another round."

Anchor: "Your slogan is "Guns, God, Guts, and American Trucks. Why?"

Mr. Muller: "We're trying to sell cars."

Anchor: "I mean, don't you think some folks could find this slogan an little...hmmm...inappropriate?"

Mr. Muller: "Do you have a problem with God? You know, this is a Christian nation."

Anchor: "Some people just might find it insane that God is put in the same slogan as guns."

Mr. Muller: "So you think God doesn't want us to defend ourselves?"

You know you have a lot of kids when...

a new neighbor comes over to introduce herself and inquires if you are running a home daycare.

Yes, my eight-month pregnant neighbor thought I was running a daycare - "there are just so many kids in and out all day" - and was hoping to possibly use my services!!

Sisters rock.
